The Farm

We are also a working farm here at Genesee Valley. There is a wide variety of animals depending on the time of year. We have a herd of Polled Herefords, Two Belgian Workhorses who are named Chief and King, several other riding horses, sheep, a goat named Lala, pigs, chickens, turkeys, ferrets, and honey bees. During the summer months, bailin' hay is the task at hand and there is plenty of it.After all, we have to feed them something in the winter... Our barns are filled to capacity by the seasons' end. Our garden and orchard produce fruits and vegetables that enable us to eat natural home grown foods. Of course there are many other things that go on around the farm and it is definitely a lot of good old fashion hard work, but it's who we are and we love it!
